Reviews and Ratings
My stay at the hotel had its ups and downs. The location overlooking Lake Superior was stunning, and being close to restaurants was convenient. However, the rooms were not as clean as I had hoped for, and the lack of elevator access was inconvenient. The service was lacking, with long check-in lines and unacknowledged issues. The dining options were not varied, and the breakfast was not worth the cost. Despite these drawbacks, the facilities were decent, and the view was nice.
My stay at the hotel was a mix of positives and negatives. The room I eventually got had a nice view of the lake, but the initial one with the odd bathroom setup was a letdown. It took quite a long time for a new room to be made available.
The hotel rooms weren't anything fancy, more like a motel style, but felt bad for the hardworking staff who provided extra discounts for our 2-night stay. The service was a mix between milking it for everything they can get and being genuinely friendly and hardworking. The location had its perks, with a fantastic coffee shop nearby, but lacked lake access and felt like an assembly line at the front desk. The dining options were average with affordable prices, but not the best quality. Overall, it was a mixed experience with some highs and lows.
The hotel's location is fantastic, with fun activities for the kids nearby and a great coffee shop across the street. The rooms, although a little old, seem to have received some updates, but the room I was assigned in the far building was unpleasantly dirty and outdated. The staff were excellent in their service, particularly in addressing customer concerns, despite some hiccups in the organization of planned activities. The hotel's facilities were generally well-kept and convenient, with amenities like a city shuttle and tours available. The dining experience, however, fell short of expectations, not worth the extra money paid for it.
The hotel reminded me of the movie 'Diary of a Wimpy Kid Roadtrip' when their family stayed at a motel. The rooms were so-so with a ceiling peeling off and water running down the wall. The air freshener was strong, possibly masking smoke smells. The service was lackluster, with unprofessional responses and music playing at odd hours. The location had ups and downs, with a cold atmosphere and maintenance issues but being prime overall. The dining left much to be desired, lacking variety and value for money.
Staying at the hotel was a mix of positives and negatives. The location offered great potential, being close to attractions in the city of Duluth, but the rooms were disappointing due to being dirty, dated, with water damage and mold issues. The service was friendly but lacked proper organization and communication. Dining options were average, with a confusing setup and extra charge for breakfast.
